The transport of hazardous and sensitive materials is subject to numerous and complex regulations, which depend largely on the mode of transport chosen :
ROAD: ADR is the European agreement governing the international transport of dangerous goods by road.
RAIL: RID is the European agreement governing the international transport of dangerous goods by rail.
FLUVIAL : ADN is the European agreement governing the international transport of dangerous goods by inland waterways.
MARITIME FREIGHT : IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) is the unified code published by the IMO (International Maritime Organization) to define the rules for the transport of dangerous goods by sea.
AIR FREIGHT : IATA-DGR published by the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) defines the rules for the transport of dangerous goods by air.
Numerous local regulatory particularities remain despite the harmonization efforts led by the United Nations and Europe within the framework of the GHS (Global Harmonization System).
